Shivaratri is a grand occasion in this region, since Shiva is the patron deity of the locals. A fair is held at most Shiva temples here, and the grandest one is held at the Parshuram Mahadev Temple.
The Gher Ghoomar festival is celebrated at Kumbhalgarh with great pomp. It is a traditional local celebration, and people form circles and dance, throwing colours and splashing water on each other. The celebrations are held at the Chamunda Devi Temple in the fort.
