Boating on the Venna Lake is an experience not to be missed. The huge mountain lake, formed by the Krishna River, is a picturesque sight, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Sahayadris. Hire a boat and spend a blissful hour relaxing, or, hire a pedal boat and enjoy the exercise.
Relax indoors with games to test your strategies as well as skills, with board games such as Carom and Chess. The pool table and the Table Football can keep you busy for hours, as can video games. All these are available in the Holiday Activity centre. If you are the outdoor kind, you can rent cricket sets or a football, and go play with your family and friends.
Horses are an excellent way to explore the mountains. The resort can arrange for horses to take you around, with guides to accompany you, as you explore the less frequented areas of Mahabaleshwar. Children can try their hand at riding one on the short trails near the lake.
The Sahayadris are a trekkers’ paradise, and there are many trails you can try, in and around Mahabaleshwar, based on your abilities. There are easy trails even kids can go on, to longer and tougher ones for the professionals, and the resort arranges for treks as well guides to accompany you.
